Hatch chile season typically runs from August through September. To mark the occasion, the Habit Burger Grill is offering three special menu items featuring Hatch green chiles.
The best way to get great flavor out of Hatch chiles is to roast or grill them until they’re charred. The Habit Burger Grill is known for their made-to-order chargrilled burgers, so it is only fitting that they chargrill each of their Hatch chiles to bring out the smoky flavor.
For a limited time, The Habit Burger Grill will serve the following:
Hatch Chile Charburger
Made with chargrilled Hatch green chiles, melted cheese, fire-roasted chipotle salsa, tomatoes, lettuce & mayo on a toasted sesame seed bun. It’s like a party in your mouth with all of that yummy goodness! 🙂
Hatch Chile Chicken Salad
I really loved this salad! It has lime-marinated, chargrilled chicken breast, feta cheese, tomatoes, carrots, black beans, sliced Hatch chiles & fresh cilantro. The salad is tossed with a house-made cilantro lime ranch dressing.
Hatch Chile Chicken Sandwich
This lime-marinated, chargrilled chicken breast sandwich is served on grilled sourdough bread & comes with chargrilled Hatch chiles, melted cheese, fire-roasted chipotle salsa, tomatoes, lettuce & mayo.
September is not just Hatch chile season, but it is also the month for a special promotion called Dine Out for No Kid Hungry. Dine Out for No Kid Hungry is a national fundraising effort which thousands of restaurants participate in.
Did you know that more than 16 million kids in America struggle with hunger? The Habit is partnering with No Kid Hungry to raise money that will provide healthy meals to kids across the United States.
When you make a $2 donation at The Habit to No Kid Hungry, you’ll receive a certificate for a free cheeseburger. 100% of all donations go directly to No Kid Hungry.
So the next time you’re at The Habit, make sure to look for this sign & give back to this special cause!
