Titika Active Couture hosted a fun fitness event last Friday at EvolvCycle in Studio City. I’m a big fan of indoor cycling classes & I was excited to try out EvolvCycle. It’s been open for almost 2 years, but I haven’t made out to this part of the Valley yet for spinning classes.
After checking in at the front desk & signing a waiver, I was handed a complimentary pair of cycle shoes. Yay, free cycle shoes! There are some cycle studios that make you pay for the shoe rental, but not at EvolvCycle. 🙂
EvolvCycle has a changing area & small locker room where you can store your gear. Since I arrived early, I had time to check out the Titika Active Couture pop-up in the lobby area.
Titika Active Couture is headquartered in Toronto & they have a flagship store in San Francisco. Their activewear is fashionable & versatile – think fitness wear that doubles as leisurewear. It definitely falls under the athleisure category! Their website has a variety of looks from performance gear, to everyday wear & even fun runway inspired pieces.
I really like this Titika Active Couture jacket. Throw this on over a top & Titika Active leggings, then you’ve got the perfect school drop-off outfit!
I was gifted an Titika Active outfit to use for the cycling class. The Prana 3/4 Flare Crop Leggings fit me just right! Since I am petite (barely 5’), I usually order cropped leggings & then the length fits me like regular. Made with a quick dry, moisture wicking stretchy material – the leggings were perfect for a EvolvCycle session. I paired the crop leggings with a Lia Short Sleeve Top, which is also made with a lightweight breathable spandex material.
After I finished browsing the clothing racks, I headed over to my bike where a helpful EvolvCycle employee helped me adjust the bike settings & clip-in my shoes. Another EvolvCycle plus – they offer complimentary towels for each class.
Cara was our instructor for the class & she is super energetic & fun! I hear she is the most in-demand of all the instructors. Be prepared – it’s a high energy class & I spent the majority of the ride out of the saddle (which I loved). Cara also had a great playlist of songs.
Not only did I get a good leg workout but Cara had us doing a lot of arm exercises. We did push-ups on the bike & even other types of arm bends that somehow worked our triceps AND core!
A few other things to note about EvolvCycle:
- Each class is 45 minutes long.
- Complimentary 90-minute (NOTE: They share the parking lot with Trader Joe’s. The 90-minute rule is definitely enforced, as I saw a security guard chalking the tires.)
- They are on ClassPass.
Overall the cycle class was great! I would definitely go back. Thanks Titika Active Couture for hosting this event. This was such a fun experience!
