Last Sunday, since my hubby had to work, I decided to take my daughter on a Mommy & Me outing. My daughter is really into horses (she's a big fan of My Little Pony), so I thought it would be fun to go to the Japanese American National Museum to ring in the New Year & celebrate the Year of the Horse. Best of all, admission to the museum would be free that day, including all of the fun activities! They had many arts & crafts for … [Read more...]

The following post is sponsored by UrbanSitter. December is around the corner & as a busy mom I’ve got a lot on my to-do list. There are holiday parties, parent-teacher conferences and Christmas shopping, among many other things. While I do have family nearby that can watch my daughter, it’s not always possible. That’s why it’s so nice to utilize the services of UrbanSitter, an online resource that connects parents with … [Read more...]

Being a well-napped baby helps your child sleep better at … [Read more...]

Flashlight Friends – Product Review

Posted on November 5, 2013 | Filed Under: Mommy Stuff, Reviews | Tags: As Seen On TV, Flashilight Friends, glow-in-the-dark, stuffed animal, unicorn | 2 Comments

My daughter loves anything that lights up or glows. When she was a baby, she had a light-up turtle that projected stars onto the ceiling of her room. As a toddler, she loved to watch her shoes light-up when she stomped her feet on the ground. Now that she’s older, her love has evolved into pillows that glow-in-the-dark & also a rather large plastic ladybug that contains glow-in-the-dark multicolored beads. Her latest obsession is … [Read more...]

When my daughter was born (back in 2006), I tried to glean as much information possible from various baby websites to educate myself on all things related to the baby. I also read some of the books in the "What to Expect…" series but I ended up feeling overwhelmed with so much information. How I had longed for a simple, easy-to-read book that gave helpful advice on how to bond with your infant/toddler. Well moms, have I got a book for you! … [Read more...]
