Pebble Beach Golf Course - 18th Hole

The 17-Mile Drive is a gorgeous scenic tour through Pebble Beach. It has breathtaking views that will instantly remind you of the PGA Golf Tour or in my case, humming the “Big Little Lies” theme song (the show takes place in the Monterey area). Earlier this summer, my family and I road-tripped from LA (specifically the San Fernando Valley) to Carmel-by-the-Sea. I’ve made this trek up north many times as a child since I have family in the … [Read more...]

Hofsas House Hotel_signage

Carmel-by-the-Sea is a delightful coastal town known for its wonderful shops, restaurants, and art galleries. As a child, I visited the Monterey area several times because I have family in the area. However, this is the first time I’ve stayed in the heart of Carmel and I have Hofsas House Hotel to thank! What attracted me to Hofsas House Hotel is not only the location, but the fact that this charming boutique hotel is both family-friendly … [Read more...]

Miss Olive Finds Her Furever Friends - cover

Several years ago, our family adopted a rescue dog. She is a small, but mighty chihuahua and is the sweetest thing! When I heard about the book, "Miss Olive Finds Her Furever Friends” – I was immediately drawn to it because Miss Olive is a rescue pup. Miss Olive Finds Her Furever Friends, the second installment in the Miss Olive children’s book trilogy The Doggy Diva Diaries, continues the rescue dog’s adventures with the adored pup … [Read more...]

Adventures of Rockford T. Honeypot_book cover

As a child, I enjoyed summertime because it meant sleeping in, fun playdates, and spending time reading books that I enjoyed – novels and mysteries that transported me away to another time and place. With “The Adventures of Rockford T. Honeypot” – your child will be able to go on escapades with Rockford and his friends. As a young chipmunk, shy, bookish Rockford T. Honeypot had dreams of thrilling adventures across the forest. However, … [Read more...]

Sprinkles Cupcakes at Home

My last Thursday Thoughts blog post was back on March 5th, when the world was slightly different. We didn't know much about COVID-19 and social distancing to prevent the spread of coronavirus wasn't a "thing" yet. Times are different, so I thought I'd write another Thursday Thoughts post but an "At Home" edition. While quarantine rules and face mask ordinances differ from state to state (and even county to county), in general, people I know … [Read more...]

CityWalk - Gorilla sign

Universal CityWalk has reopened for tourists and locals alike. Yesterday, I ventured out with my family to check it out. Here’s what you can expect! Parking We got there right when Universal CityWalk opened. Parking was super easy (since there were very little cars) and also FREE! Yes, you read that correctly, self-parking is complimentary during CityWalk’s reopening phase. Take note that valet parking is not available at this time. … [Read more...]
