Jen & Joe’s Frozen Gourmet Cookie Dough

Posted on March 3, 2015 | Filed Under: Food | Tags: frozen cookie dough, Jen & Joe’s Cookie Dough, white chocolate wasabi cookies | Leave a Comment

Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh baked cookies? My family loves eating them & more importantly, my kiddo loves helping me bake ‘em. It’s a fun weekend activity; however, let’s be honest…sometimes with our hectic schedules we don’t always have time to bake cookies from scratch, especially when you look inside your pantry & realize that you don’t have all of the ingredients needed to bake that yummy cookie recipe that you found on Pinterest. 🙂

At this year’s LA Cookie Con, I met the owners of Jen & Joe’s Cookie Dough, a local Los Angeles company that makes frozen gourmet cookie dough. After sampling some of their cookies, which are made with real eggs & butter, I just knew that I’d have to try them at home one day!

Jen & Joe’s Cookie Dough comes in six delicious & unique flavors:

  • Chocolate Chunk
  • Snickerdoodle
  • Oatmeal Toffee
  • Lemon Drop
  • Chocolate Spice
  • White Chocolate Wasabi

The past few weekends have been cold & rainy in LA which is perfect cookie baking weather!

We tried the Lemon Drop, Chocolate Chunk & White Chocolate Wasabi cookies. My daughter promptly declared the Chocolate Chunk her favorite. That particular flavor is made with brown sugar, chocolate chunks, real eggs & butter (like I had mentioned before) & on top it is sprinkled with a dusting of sugar for a light crunch.

My hubby liked the Lemon Drop & Chocolate Chunk, but my personal fave of the three was the White Chocolate Wasabi. It had a sweet flavor from the white chocolate, but a slight kick to it from the wasabi powder.

Just the other day, we made a batch of Chocolate Spice. This was my hubby’s favorite out of all the flavors. It’s made with cocoa powder & some sort of sugar-spice blend.

The great thing about Jen & Joe’s Cookie Dough is that after you pull them out of the oven, they are so moist & chewy AND they stay that way for days! It’s so unlike some of the other frozen cookie dough that we’ve tried where they come out thin, crispy & slightly dry.

Another bonus, these cookies are made from the best wholesome ingredients & frozen into individual servings, ready to bake anytime. This company proudly states that they never use any artificial colors, flavors, additives or preservatives. Their packaging says it all… ingredients so good, they’re listed on the front!
