Boo at the LA Zoo is going on now through October 27! Every weekend in October, zoo guests will enjoy fun Halloween events.
You won’t want to miss the special treat feedings – where zookeepers feed pumpkins to some of the animals. During our visit last weekend, we saw meerkats playfully chomp on the jack-o’-lantern!
One area that you MUST visit is the Spooky Stroll & Mystery Maze. Zoo guests can play Halloween games, visit the mini pumpkin patch, take selfies in front of the fun photo areas & wind their way through the hay bale maze.
Don’t forget to check out the Endangered Animal Graveyard & learn how you can help with animal conservation.
In years past, the pumpkin patch, maze area, craft tables & education station were located in the Eucalyptus Grove section of the zoo. This year they moved it to a bigger area, closer to the front entrance of the zoo (near the Desert Trail). So look for the signs & don’t miss it!
The World of Birds Show is Halloween themed, featuring owls, vultures, & more!
Other fun weekend activities include:
- Swazzle’s Monster Menagerie Puppet Show: Help a lonely mad scientist create the ultimate trick-or-treating buddy by combining animal “superpowers.” Performances in Adventure Theater at 11:30am & 1:30pm.
- “Spooktacular Science” Show: Discover bubbling potions, a hovercraft-powered ghost & more fun surprises in a mad scientist’s bustling lab. Performances in Adventure Theater at 3pm.
- Trick-or-Treat: The BEST part during the weekends of October 19 & 20 and October 26 & 27 is the trick-or-treating! You’ll find treat stations throughout the LA Zoo, with candy & bags courtesy of 99 Cents Only Stores. The candy & bags are available while supplies last.
