California Frozen Poppers {Foodie Review}

Posted on December 22, 2015 | Filed Under: Food, Product Reviews | Tags: California Frozen Poppers, Frozen Popcorn, vegan caramel popcorn | 6 Comments

Located in a mini mall in the San Fernando Valley, California Frozen Poppers is changing how people consume popcorn. The Mad Poppers team at California Frozen Poppers has revolutionized this crunchy snack by creating the world’s first frozen popcorn!

That’s right…frozen popcorn that is air popped, made by hand in small batches & comes in 60 different varieties – including vegan & gluten-free! It is made fresh daily with no preservatives or sprays. You can freeze & refreeze their popcorn. Now you CAN eat it out of the container or bag as is; however it is best to consume frozen so that you can get that crispy, crunchy caramel sensation!

Like I said…all of the flavors are very unique & they have many vegan options. No preservatives or artificial flavoring are used & there are even gluten-free versions. Please note that for those of you who have nut allergies (like my daughter) the products sold by California Frozen Poppers are clearly marked.

I’m so happy to showcase a retail store based in the Valley (West Hills to be exact)! I love the fact that the recipe comes from the Mad Popper’s great grandmother. Can you believe that it is a 100 year old caramel popcorn recipe?! So who is this Mad Popper? The founder & CEO is Joshua Chaney who is a former key grip for the TV show Friends. The popcorn business that Joshua founded has been around for about five years now.

California Frozen Poppers have fun flavor names like: Darker Side of the Moon, Granny’s Green Apple, Caked, Euronut, Winter Kiss & Aztec Gold. What is my favorite? T-N-T which is an English Toffee, Milk Chocolate & Caramel flavor. I also like Winter Kiss which tastes like White Chocolate, Peppermint & Caramel. For those who are into savory flavors, you might want to try Aztec Gold which is a Chili Lime, Cheddar & Caramel combo. You can check out this video that highlights the retail store & California Frozen Poppers many flavors!

If you want to visit their retail store in West Hills or to order online, please check out the California Frozen Poppers website here for details. NOTE: Due to the holidays, their store hours & also flavor selection may vary. It’s best to visit their Facebook page to get daily updates!

California Frozen Poppers would make a great holiday gift and/or hostess gift! Also it is never too early to plan for New Year’s Eve parties. Just imagine having these yummy treats at your NYE celebration!

      They were closed the other day for the holiday, but they are open for business starting Dec. 27th & ready to take New Years Eve orders! I know what I’ll be munching on when the NYE ball drops! 🙂
