Who doesn’t love tacos? Living in Los Angeles, there is no shortage of Mexican restaurants to try out. I recently dined at Chronic Tacos in Valencia, which is about a 15-20 minute drive from my home since I live in the North Valley area of the SFV.
I had never heard of Chronic Tacos until recently. Apparently it is HUGE in Orange County, as it started out in Newport Beach & my friends who live near one of the many Chronic Tacos locations in the OC love it! There are several locations in the Southern California area, with two close to the San Fernando Valley – one in Saugus & one in Valencia.
So how does the food taste? It’s very tasty! As soon as we got in line, I just knew that we would have to order one each of their seafood tacos.
I opted for a beer battered fish taco, served “Baja Style.”
I also got the al pastor taco which is a pork taco made with a spicy adobo marinade. My brother-in-law ordered a crispy beer battered shrimp & carne asada tacos. Since it was a chilly day, I also ordered a small bowl of tortilla soup. Yum!
At Chronic Tacos, they know how to serve up the proteins in their taco entrees! They don’t skimp on ingredients, in fact the taco seemed packed full with our proteins, unlike some places where you might get a tiny bit of it. In fact we were both full after just two tacos (plus chips & guacamole). I even ended up taking my tortilla soup home since I couldn’t finish it!
However don’t let the name fool you, Chronic Tacos serves up more than just tacos. They offer salads, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, even breakfast items (like that infamous breakfast burrito that Californians love).
Their kid menu looks pretty good too, so I can’t wait to come back with my family to try out the rest of what Chronic Tacos has to offer!
