SweatSTR – A Scarf & Towel Reinvented!

Posted on December 1, 2015 | Filed Under: Fitness, Product Reviews | Tags: athleisure, fitness wear, SweatSTR | 8 Comments

Now that the weather is getting chilly here in Los Angeles, I’ve been layering up when I get dressed to workout. I’ve discovered a new way to wipe the sweat during jogging or working out that is a combination scarf AND towel. That fitness product is called SweatSTR (sounds like sweater but with an “ST” within it).

SweatSTR _SelfieThe idea is that you wear it out jogging or as part of your workout attire. With athleisure on the rise, it seems like the perfect item to test out & add to my fitness outfits. On a recent outing to my favorite Pilates studio, I wore my lime green SweatSTR with a tank that I got on sale during Black Friday & my GapFit leggings.

SweatSTR _OutfitAfter kicking off my Ugg boots & stashing my gym bag, I picked out my Megaformer & placed my SweatSTR on one of the bars. I have seen people put small towels on the Pilates bench or bars, so I had no qualms about putting the SweatSTR there. I’m not gonna lie, sometimes I sweat during really hard Pilates sessions, so I am grateful to have a towel nearby to use.

SweatSTR _At PilatesAfter class, I threw it around my neck & walked out to my car. Now some might wonder about the germ factor, but my feeling is that since you are going to wash your gym clothes after a workout, then you can throw the SweatSTR in the wash right after as well. After you wipe your face, you are placing the scarf towel around your neck so it’s not touching your face again afterwards.

So about the company…I found SweatSTR via Twitter & reached out to the owner. Each SweatSTR is made of 100% cotton material & it is machine washable. Also you’ll be happy to know that SweatSTR is proudly made & put together in the USA by professionals located in South Florida. Yay for cotton & made in the USA products!  🙂

The SweatSTR retails for $19.98, not bad considering that I saw scarves on sale during Black Friday for roughly the same price. Also with SweatSTR, you really get two products in one.

For more info, visit the SweatSTR website or Facebook page. I also have good news for Real Mom of SFV readers! Use promo code “shipmefree” for free shipping. The promo code will be good until December 24th. This would make a great holiday gift for a fitness enthusiast!

Disclosure: No monetary compensation was received for this post. I received a complimentary SweatSTR which helped facilitate this review. My opinions & images are 100% my own.

Sounds cool, I need something like this for hiking. A towel that I don’t have to worry about holding (or dropping) while hiking is ideal.

That is a great idea Wendy! It’s been a while since I’ve been on a hike in the mountains. I hope you get a chance to order one before your next hike! 🙂

Good for you in wanting to exercise now that you are postpartum! I remember once I was cleared by my doctor, I was anxious to get back into fitness too. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
