DAVIDsTEA Is My New Favorite Tea Store!

Posted on November 25, 2015 | Filed Under: Food, Product Reviews | Tags: Davids Tea, Los Angeles tea shops, Woodland Hills Tea Shop | 2 Comments

I am an avid tea drinker & I love to discover new loose leaf teas to drink. DAVIDsTEA is a brand new tea store & I am obsessed with it! It is located at the Village at Westfield Topanga in Woodland Hills.

While I love brewing & drinking loose leaf tea, I always found it a bit of a pain that the tea filter that I used would let some of the tea residue through to my mug. DAVIDsTEA makes these awesome tea filter bags that are biodegradable! My current go to loose leaf tea is either Gingerbread Cookie or Pumpkin Chai. DAVIDsTEA also makes a finely perforated stainless steel & silicone Collapsible Infuser. The holes are so fine that the tea remnants don’t seep through to your mug. I plan on buying that during my next visit!

Speaking of buying, how cute is the Ultimate Hot Chocolate Kit or the DAVIDsTEA 24 Days of Tea Advent Calendar Box?! These would make great holiday gifts!

One of the great things about DAVIDsTEA is that they have a wide variety of loose leaf teas, at affordable price points! These make great gifts for that office coworker Secret Santa game or perhaps for your child’s teacher.

The first DAVIDsTEA store was opened in 2008 in Canada. It was started by David Segal & his cousin Herschel Segal. What I love about DAVIDsTEA store is that it is modern & colorful. It’s not stuffy with doilies & delicate china teapots (although they do actually have very beautiful teapots). Basically what I am trying to say is that this isn’t your great-grandma’s tea shop!  🙂

In addition to buying tea, tea accessories & gift items, you can also have the store associate brew you up a cup of tea (both hot & iced) for purchase. I also like to go inside & try out the samples. They always have one of each – a hot item & also an iced tea flavor. The Banana Nut Bread flavor that you see in the photo above tastes delicious as a warm tea. The Honey, I Dew flavor is great over ice!

I am SO glad they opened up the first Los Angeles DAVIDsTEA location in Woodland Hills! NOTE: There is one in Torrance & hopefully they will expand to other LA cities. If you’d like more info on DAVIDsTEA, check out their website & Facebook page!

Disclosure: No monetary compensation was received for this post. I received complimentary DAVIDsTEA products which helped facilitate this review. My opinions & images are 100% my own.
