The Boss Baby arrives in theaters this Friday, March 31st. The movie features the voiceover talent of Alec Baldwin, Jimmy Kimmel & Lisa Kudrow – who play the Boss Baby, Dad & Mom. Earlier this month, my family & I had the opportunity to screen the film at an event on the DreamWorks Animation campus.
DreamWorks Animation and the director of MADAGASCAR invite you to meet a most unusual baby. He wears a suit, speaks with the voice and wit of Alec Baldwin, and stars in the animated comedy, DreamWorks’ THE BOSS BABY. THE BOSS BABY is a hilariously universal story about how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a wildly imaginative 7 year old named Tim. With a sly, heart-filled message about the importance of family, DreamWorks’ THE BOSS BABY is an authentic and broadly appealing original comedy for all ages.
The movie definitely has snarky, tongue-in-cheek humor. Behind the humor is a message about family, loyalty & sibling rivalry. If you happen to be the firstborn child in your family, then you’ll instantly recognize the anxiety that the older sibling deals with when having to welcome a new member of the family. However within just a few minutes of meeting the Boss Baby, Tim (the older sibling) & the audience. quickly realizes that this isn’t your ordinary baby.
Before we sat down to watch the movie, my daughter got to meet one of the animators from The Boss Baby.
He showed the children how to draw the actual Boss Baby!
The film has a subplot that has to do with a “Forever Puppy.” So it was only fitting that the event had adorable dogs on hand, courtesy of Vanderpump Pets, that were up for adoption!
There were some delicious sweet treats for attendees.
This candy pacifier was a big hit among the kids at the event!
Rosie Rivera, TV personality and CEO of Jenni Rivera Enterprises, hosted the special screening of The Boss Baby.
I had the opportunity to meet Rosie before the screening. She has three children (a teen daughter, a toddler girl & very young son). One of the questions I asked Rosie was to describe her parenting style. She said, “I like to raise my children to be confident. Parenting is never easy. I want my kids to live out their dreams, be fulfilled & live out their purpose.”
Thanks DreamWorks Animation & Rosie Rivera for hosting this event. This was such a fun experience!
