Cocomel Bites: Delicious Chocolate & Caramel Treats

When it comes to sweet treats, my favorite pairing is chocolate & caramel. While I don’t have as big a sweet tooth as my husband or daughter, I do enjoy having a small chocolate every now & then to satisfy that craving. So I was very intrigued when I heard about this new product called Cocomel Bites, a bite-sized chocolate & caramel treat.

Cocomel Bites are chocolate covered caramels. They come in two flavors – Vanilla & Sea Salt.

These yummy caramel candies are made using an organic dark chocolate, plus they are dairy-free since they use coconut milk. Cocomel Bites are vegan, gluten-free & made with non-GMO ingredients.

This caramel creation is made by JJ’s Sweets, a vegan candy company based in Boulder, CO. It’s worth noting that Cocomel Bites is a product extension of the original Cocomels treat, which the company developed about 8 years ago.

Cocomels are caramel candies made with coconut milk & organic sweeteners. They come in four flavors: Original, Sea Salt, Vanilla & Espresso.

These candies are individually wrapped, which makes it convenient to stash in your handbag, a desk drawer at the office or even in your glove compartment in the car. I must confess, I popped one in my mouth on a recent drive home from an event in bumper to bumper traffic on the 405 freeway. It was a great afternoon pick-me-up! Plus, three pieces of Cocomels are a mere 60 calories total. It’s basically a guilt-free candy! 🙂
