California Strawberry Festival 2018 {Ticket Giveaway}

Posted on May 7, 2018 | Filed Under: Local Events | Tags: California Strawberry Festival, Oxnard Strawberry Festival, Ventura County family fun | 13 Comments

California Strawberry Festival fans, it’s that time of year again! That’s right, Ventura County’s two-day festival dedicated to all things strawberries is just a couple weeks away.

CA Strawberry Festival Strawberry Nachos

Strawberry nachos, strawberry pizza & chocolate covered strawberries are just a few of the yummy food items at the California Strawberry Festival. The strawberry dessert that my daughter loves the best is the “build your own” strawberry shortcake tent where festival-goers can try their hand at creating their own delicious dish.

California Strawberry Festival highlights include:

Contests
Festival attendees can sign up for the Strawberry Pie Eating Contest, gooey Tart Toss, the timed Strawberry Relay Race, the Berry Best Hat Contest & the Berry Best Dressed Baby Contest. All winners will receive prizes.

Entertainment
From classic rock to Latin beats, bands will perform on two stages. Comedian Phil Medina will perform in between acts. New this year is a third stage featuring local talent. All three stages are spread out on soccer fields to give everyone plenty of room to dance & enjoy the tunes.

CA Strawberry Festival Entertainment

Strawberryland For Kids
Kids can enjoy non-stop live performances throughout the day under the tented Family Fun Stage with its puppet, magic & live animal shows. The play area also includes carnival rides ($1 each), bounce houses & climbing walls.

Arts & Crafts Showcase
Around 200 fine arts & crafts booths will be on display at the festival. Paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, furniture, children’s toys – these are just some of the items that will be featured.
