TRU Bowl Superfood Bar Westlake Village {Review + Giveaway}

Recently, my husband and I visited TRU Bowl Superfood Bar in Westlake Village. We were in the area at a local bookstore and made our way over to TRU Bowl for some smoothies and açaí bowls.

The cafe is modern, bright and clean inside. What’s great about TRU Bowl is that you can see all their fresh fruit offerings behind the plexiglass counter. So, for those who want to make their own custom craft bowl, you can point to the different toppings (fruit, granola, superfoods, etc.) that will be in your bowl. Also, did I mention that they have different bases – meaning that you can choose from açaí, chia pudding, ube, maple cold oats, etc.

For folks like me who get overwhelmed with the different options, TRU Bowl has signature bowls like their Coconut Dream Bowl, Rio Bowl, and Island Bowl to choose from. My husband ordered the PRO Bowl with an OG Smoothie.

I asked Doug, the TRU Bowl franchise owner, what are the popular bowls and smoothies. I ended up choosing the EZ TRU Bowl and a Cali Vibe Smoothie topped with chia seeds. Both of those are very popular at the Westlake Village location.

TRU Bowl Westlake Village has been open for 2 months. While we were there, we noticed a steady stream of customers, from families in sports uniforms, to teens, and older people picking up their to-go orders.

I thought the décor was nice – cute wall signage, festive Halloween decorations, plenty of seating (tables and wall bench with stools).
