Posted on August 25, 2015 | Filed Under: Food | Tags: Northridge Mexican food, organic Mexican food, Sharky’s Woodfired Mexican Grill | 2 Comments

I attended a media lunch sponsored by Sharky’s Woodfired Mexican Grill. The visit was complimentary & I received a goodie bag as compensation for attending. All opinions expressed here are 100% my own. I love Mexican food, but living in SoCal I know that not all places that serve Mexican food are created equal. Sure you’ve got your taco trucks, fast food chains, hole in the wall mom & pop places & sit down restaurants. Well what if … [Read more...]

Posted on August 5, 2015 | Filed Under: Food | Tags: California Pizza Kitchen, Seasonally Inspired CPK Menu | 6 Comments

When I hear the name California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), I think of pizza, pasta & that delicious bread basket. Recently I sampled foods from their new seasonally inspired menu & I was delighted to learn that they now offer so much more! As I was walking to my booth, the restaurant manager pointed out that the Northridge restaurant recently had a “refresh” in their decor. New wood flooring was installed that is made up of sustainable … [Read more...]

This weekend is a family oriented holiday for many people. I know in my home, we usually brew a cup of coffee to drink with dessert at family get-togethers. So it seems fitting that this holiday season I’ll be serving Community Coffee, which is the largest family owned & operated retail coffee brand in America. Community Coffee Company was founded in 1919 by Henry Norman “Cap” Saurage. Cap named his coffee “Community” in honor of his … [Read more...]
