NEW Microsoft Store at Westfield Topanga + Giveaway!

Posted on October 6, 2014 | Filed Under: Reviews | Tags: Answer Desk, Microsoft Store, Xbox One | 27 Comments

The following post contains a giveaway that was sponsored by Microsoft Stores. All opinions are 100% my own.

On September 19th, I was invited to preview the brand new Microsoft Store at Westfield Topanga in Canoga Park. The store was buzzing with excitement as the retail associates prepped for the grand opening that was taking place the very next day.

The first thing you notice as you walk in the store is the giant Microsoft display screen. This is where customers can test out & play the latest Xbox One games!

As someone who uses Microsoft Word & Excel on a daily basis, it’s nice to know that I can go to this store, pick up the latest software, buy an accessory or even purchase the latest Madden Xbox One game!

While I was at the Microsoft Store, I had the opportunity to play around with the Surface 2 & Surface Pro 3. The Surface Pro 3 has a handy stylus that is so responsive to the screen. I love that the Surface Pro 3 works as both a tablet AND a laptop!

I had a chance to look at some of the latest Windows Phones, such as the Nokia Lumia 1520 which has a 6” screen & a 20 MP camera. Have you heard of Cortana? Cortana is your personal assistant on a Windows Phone. Cortana is there to help make things easier & reminds you of important dates like birthdays & anniversaries. Having tested it out, I found Cortana to be much more intuitive than Apple’s Siri.

One of my favorite things at the Microsoft Store is the Answer Desk. You can schedule a free in-store consultation at the Answer Desk & a service advisor will assist you with your Microsoft related problem. About a week & a half ago, I walked into the store at Westfield Topanga. Within an hour, the tech advisor was able to fix the issue that I had with my Windows phone.

There are several Microsoft Store locations in California. Have you been to one? The one in Woodland Hills/Canoga Park is the newest store to open, but I hear that one is coming soon to Cerritos. Click here to find a Microsoft Store that is closest to you.

Would you like to buy the latest Xbox One game or even a Surface Pro 3? Well guess what…

ONE lucky Real Mom of SFV reader will win a $50 Microsoft Gift Card. Please enter below for a chance to win! NOTE: The gift card can only be used at Microsoft retail locations.

If I won the $50 gift certificate, I’d probably give it to my hubby or my daughter to do some damage—I mean, shopping. 🙂 We haven’t been to the Microsoft Store before, but there’s a new one nearby that we’ve wanted to check out!
