Girl Scouts Workshop at #SFV Microsoft Store

Posted on February 23, 2015 | Filed Under: Local Events | Tags: Girl Scouts Digital Photographer Badge, Microsoft Store, Westfield Topanga | Leave a Comment

We all know that right now Girl Scout Cookie season is in full effect! I’ve seen photos on social media regarding the Girl Scouts #onemorebite campaign. The idea is to upload a selfie on Instagram of you with a Girl Scout Cookie, tag it #onemorebite & then you will be entered into a giveaway in which the grand prize is 52 boxes of your fave Girl Scout Cookie! Wow, that’s a lot of Thin Mints (for me)!

Speaking of photographs, did you know that the Microsoft Store at Westfield Topanga is hosting a Digital Photographer – Junior Badge Workshop for Girl Scouts?

On March 7th, Girl Scouts can earn their Digital Photographer Badge at the Canoga Park Microsoft Store! There are 25 spots available for this exciting badge workshop lead by Microsoft staff, where you can learn the basic skills & techniques of photography, design & composition. You’ll then use your new found skills to create your very own digital album project & stage show!

REGISTER: Online via Ebiz: www.girlscoutsccc.org/events by February 25th, 2015.

NOTE: 10 spots are available to use MS devices on a first come first serve basis. If you do not have access to a PC, please email jllewellyn@girlscoutsccc.org.

Doesn’t this sound so cool?! I kinda wish I could take this workshop even though my Girl Scout days are long behind me.  😉

Many thanks to the Canoga Park Microsoft Store for sharing this info with me, so that I could pass it on to my friends in the SFV! If you are unable to take part in the Girl Scout workshop, please note that the store has plenty of other FREE community classes that you can attend.
