Every now & then I like to take my daughter to get frozen yogurt as an after-school treat. Usually I pair her favorite flavor with fresh fruit, like strawberries or bananas. There is a Menchie’s frozen yogurt store near her school, which is a convenient after school hang-out for a lot of her friends & their moms. We love the friendly neighborhood feel of the store, the chalkboard wall where kids can draw & color on it, the kid-friendly games that they have piled on a table in a corner & the endless supply of crayons & coloring paper with the Menchie’s mascot printed on it. We love Menchie’s so much that 3 years ago, we held my daughter’s 5th birthday party here!
So when I heard that Cinnabon was partnering with Menchie’s to create an exclusive frozen yogurt, I jumped at the chance to sample it! I mean, who doesn’t love a warm, ooey gooey Cinnabon cinnamon roll? To have that taste paired with a frozen yogurt treat sounds ingenious! It may be chilly Fall weather in other parts of the country, but here in LA it is always froyo weather!
Last week I visited the Menchie’s in Encino for a tasting. I happily loaded up my yogurt cup with Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll frozen yogurt, topped it with Cinnabon Morsels (which taste like cinnamon cookie dough bites) & drizzled cream cheese frosting on top. Delish!
Adding to the fun of eating this yummy froyo was getting to do a taste comparison with the real thing – fresh, warm Cinnabon rolls!
I have to say that this pairing of treats was pretty sweet!! I’m looking forward to taking my kiddo to try it. Although I try to keep her sweet treats to a minimum, every once in a while I make exceptions for very special treats, like this one!
The Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll flavor is being offered for a limited time at Menchie’s. It debuted on November 1st & will be in stores until November 30th. Trust me, you’ll want to hurry to your closest Menchie’s & try this delicious flavor before it’s gone!
