#CheatClean with New S’mores Quest Bar!

Posted on January 7, 2015 | Filed Under: Food | Tags: Quest Bar, Quest Nutrition, s'mores protein bar | 5 Comments

In my opinion, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If I don’t have something to eat in the morning, then my energy is low & I have a hard time concentrating on the task at hand because I’m too busy daydreaming of what I will eat for lunch. There are times when I have to grab something quick in the morning & get on the road ASAP. It is during those times that my go-to food of choice is a protein bar.

For instance, this past Sunday I work up super early so that I could beat the traffic to Disneyland in Anaheim. My daughter & I were on the road by 6:30am. With coffee in hand & my new S’mores Quest Bar at the ready, I was able to satisfy my hunger pangs during the one hour drive to the theme park. Once we arrived at the entrance, I was ready to hit the rides!

The s’mores flavor is the newest addition to the Quest Protein Bar lineup. Who isn’t nostalgic for that classic campfire treat? Well now you can cheat clean & enjoy this snack that tastes like marshmallow, chocolate & graham cracker all rolled into one! One bar contains 20 grams of protein, tons of fiber & only 1g of sugar.

In less than two weeks, I will be participating in a 10k run. The race starts at 5:30am. Guess which protein bar I’ll be eating that morning?  🙂

I can’t say that I’m on the Quest Bar bandwagon. The few times I’ve tasted them, I get a chemical aftertaste. However, I was just sent a protein powder sample that I’m interested to investigate and try.

I do think that they are a very supportive company of the health and fitness community though and I like that a LOT!

Good luck with your upcoming 10K!

I love Quest Bars! They have such good flavors! My favorite is Coconut Cashew. I really would be interested in trying this one.

I love Quest bars. Is this better than the cookies and cream or chocolate chip cookie dough?
