Meet Nikki Diaz of SoCal Princess Pro

Posted on June 3, 2015 | Filed Under: Real Moms of the SFV | Tags: LA children's party entertainer, Nikki Diaz, SoCal Princess Pro | 4 Comments

Nikki Diaz is a singer, children’s entertainer, blogger & Zumba fitness instructor. She is a busy mom to an adorable little boy. I am amazed at her ability to juggle it all!

The first time I met Nikki Diaz was last year during a blogger brunch at Club MomMe’s Fall Fest. Since then we’ve run into each other several times at various children’s festivals & blogger meet-ups. One of the things I noticed about Nikki is that she has a fun spirit & great energy about her. Her ability to bring joy to kids while performing as Queen Elsa or The Little Mermaid is quite a sight to see!

Please meet the latest Real Mom of the SFV, the talented Nikki Diaz!

How/why did you begin your business?
Nikki: I started SoCal Princess Pro because I wanted to utilize my background in acting and singing in a way that would allow me to work the weekends doing princess parties and stay home with my 3 year old during the week. I worked with a similar company in my teens and thought this was something I could do now and it’s been going great.

As a working mother, what is one tip or piece of advice that you would give to other female entrepreneurs?
Nikki: Do what you love! It’s hard and even scary to get away from the rat race, but once you’re doing what you genuinely love and what you’re meant to do it seems everything falls into place. You just have to take that leap of faith.

What do you like best about having a business in the San Fernando Valley?
Nikki: I love the different kinds of people in the San Fernando Valley. It’s definitely a melting pot and as someone that has a very mixed racial background, I can really appreciate this. I also feel people are more willing to use their dollars on a family owned business. We help each other!

If there was one thing you wish you knew before you began your business, what would that be?
Nikki: I wish I’d known it was meant to be. Being fearful can hold you back a ton. I would’ve started a lot sooner had I leaped in without hesitation. It’s a very rewarding experience for me. I love my job.

Having witnessed firsthand Nikki’s performances & seeing the children’s faces light up with big smiles, I can see how her passion for her craft has produced amazing results. I love Nikki’s advice about doing what you love. You often hear that if you do what you love, it won’t feel like work. Nikki’s ability to combine her musical talents & love of entertaining has produced a fulfilling career.
