Bowling is a fun activity at any age. I remember a few years back, my daughter wanted to have a bowling birthday party. She was so excited to bowl with her friends & classmates! We’ve gone back to that bowling alley near my house several times since then – it’s a fine, but nothing special & could definitely use a refresh. Fortunately for us, Bowlero, a new modern bowling alley is opening up this weekend in Woodland Hills!
Bowlero (formerly AMF Woodlake Lanes) has been fully renovated & will now feature 32 lanes of blacklight bowling! I know the glow-in-the-dark entertainment concept is pretty popular among kids (and adults!), what with blacklight laser tag & dodgeball at various activity centers in LA & the Valley.
Of course, you can’t have bowling without snacks & drinks – but at Bowlero it’s not the usual hot dogs, nachos, soda & beer. At Bowlero Woodland Hills the menu will feature entrees like the Party Pretzel, the 2-foot-long “Wonder Dog” hot dog & the gigantic “Behemoth Burger”—a 5-pound, 14-inch-round party burger that’s made for sharing. Beverages have gotten an upgrade too! A new bar will feature a variety of handcrafted specialty cocktails in addition to soft drinks.
I remember at my daughter’s bowling birthday party, after bowling a few rounds, several of the kids went into the arcade room to play games. At Bowlero Woodland Hills, there will be a state-of-the-art arcade with more than 30 interactive games, featuring fan favorites like: Candy Crush, NBA Hoops, Plants vs. Zombies, Jurassic Park & more!
Want to check out the new place for yourself? There is a grand opening celebration taking place this Saturday afternoon. You can enjoy free bowling, arcade play, giveaways, and more! For details, check out the Bowlero Woodland Hills Facebook event page.
