Crunchies – Freeze Dried Fruit

Posted on August 17, 2016 | Filed Under: Food | Tags: Crunchies, Freeze Dried Fruit, healthy fruit snacks | 6 Comments

Getting my daughter to eat her five servings of fruits & vegetables is sometimes a challenge. It’s even hard for me sometimes! This summer we’ve been busy & on the go, so sometimes that means grabbing a snack for the car ride to tide us over until we reach our destination. During those times when my kiddo wants that satisfying “crunch” from a cracker or chip, I’ve been swapping out her chip bag for Crunchies, a freeze dried fruit snack.

Crunchies - Snack on the Go

What makes Crunchies such a convenient go-to snack is that it doesn’t require refrigeration, it is portable (yay for the resealable pouch!) & it’s all natural, with just pure fruit – nothing added.

For the last four weeks, my family has been sampling the various flavors of Crunchies. Our top 3 favorites are: Strawberry Banana, Cinnamon Apple & Raspberries.

Crunchies - Favorite Flavors

Lately I’ve been tossing one flavor into my kiddo’s martial arts bag so that she can snack on it while we drive to the studio for practice. Now with school starting, never again do I have to wonder what to include in her lunch box. I can make a trail mix for her in a plastic baggie & pour in some Crunchies or just put one pouch into her backpack so that she can snack throughout the week.

Crunchies - School Snack

There are so many ways to enjoy Crunchies. Straight out of the bag, added to my yogurt, sprinkled on top of my cereal…the ideas are endless!

Crunchies - Cereal

Crunchies can be found in the following flavors:

  • Strawberries
  • Pineapple
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberry Banana
  • Mixed Fruit
  • Beets
  • Cinnamon Apple
  • Grapes

Crunchies - Flavors

You can purchase Crunchies at a grocery store (I saw them in my local CVS & Walmart stores) & also online. For more information, visit the Crunchies website here. You can also check out their Facebook page for the latest updates!

So tell me, which of the nine flavors would you most like to try?

Cinnamon Apple calls to me! These would be delicious throw in smoothies or the ICE CREAM I have been making for dinner on the regular lately – hahaha!

I love all of them but my go-to’s would definitely be pineapple and banana. I would love to try the beets though, mainly because I don’t like beets! Hoping this would somehow make me eat them 🙂
