Seasonal Pumpkin Desserts at STACKED

Posted on October 27, 2016 | Filed Under: Food | Tags: food well built, pumpkin bread pudding, pumpkin desserts, STACKED Restaurants | 5 Comments

With Halloween just around the corner, pumpkin spiced drinks & pumpkin-flavored food are just about everywhere. I know many people love this festive trend (including me) & it is a great way to welcome the Fall season.

On a recent visit to the STACKED Restaurant in Thousand Oaks, my family eagerly tried out two new pumpkin desserts – Pumpkin Cheesecake Shake & Pumpkin Bread Pudding.

But first we needed to grab some lunch! We started out with an appetizer of thick-cut onion rings. My hubby & daughter love this tower of crunchy, golden brown deliciousness.

For our main course, my hubby ordered the Mac ‘N Cheese Burger with a side salad. Just take a look at how stacked (pun intended) this burger is with the crispy bacon, tomato, mac & cheese & the toasted parmesan breadcrumb crisp.

My daughter ordered her favorite stand-by, Grilled Cheese from the kids menu & I opted for the Pepper Stack Burger with roasted poblano peppers & pepper jack cheese.

Everything tasted so good & even though we were full…you know what they say, there’s always room for dessert!

My daughter is a huge fan of milkshakes, so she was looking forward to tasting the Pumpkin Cheesecake Shake. This is no ordinary milkshake though, as it’s got bits of pumpkin cheesecake mixed in along with pumpkin pie spices. It’s thick & oh so filling! My daughter drank most of the yummy shake but fortunately my husband & I were able to pry it away from her to get in a few sips. 🙂

One of my husband’s favorite desserts is bread pudding & at STACKED, they know how to build it well. The Pumpkin Bread Pudding is baked with house made pumpkin bread & topped with vanilla ice cream plus a dollop of whipped cream. It’s deliciously warm, rich & comforting.

Make sure & visit STACKED: Food Well Built soon, as these seasonal desserts are offered for a limited time – from now through the end of November!
