STACKED Restaurants celebrated their five year anniversary in May. My daughter & I recently dined at STACKED: Food Well Built in Thousand Oaks; we had reasons to to celebrate as well – she was about to turn 10 later that week & also the school year was coming to a close. Hooray!!!
It was five years ago that co-founders Paul Motenko and Jerry Hennessy opened the first STACKED: Food Well Built in Torrance, CA. Now with four additional restaurants in Thousand Oaks, Cerritos, Huntington Beach & San Diego, STACKED estimates that guests have customized more than 3 million meals!
The fact that you get to personalize your meal is a big plus for me AND my family! My daughter is a picky eater & sometimes it is a real challenge to go somewhere & order a meal but then ask them to customize it. However at STACKED, if I want to order the nachos appetizer but my kiddo wants chicken instead of pulled pork, then we just go to the tablet & remove the items from the entrée!
So what else did we order? My daughter got the chicken tenders from the Kids Menu.
I’m a big fan of the salads at STACKED, so I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad, but because I have this “thing” about jicama, I deleted it off my order. 🙂
I couldn’t resist getting the Pesto Chicken Sandwich, which my hubby had ordered during a previous visit to STACKED. It was SO delicious, especially with the side of sweet potato fries!
Not only do you place your meal order (and customize it) from the tablet on the table, but you can also checkout & pay for your meal on the tablet as well! It makes it easy & convenient so that you don’t have to wait. However if you’d rather take care of ordering & paying with a waiter or waitress, then just press the button that says “Call Server” & you’ll get prompt service.
Thanks STACKED for the great meal. We had a fun mommy & daughter date!
