The new year always brings about feelings of resolutions like clean eating & exercise. In the coming weeks, I’ll share with you my 2017 Word of the Year & also the awesome new fitness studio that I’ve been working out at for the past week or so. Until then, let’s revisit my favorite healthy eating spot – Lemonade LA!
There are two Valley locations: Studio City & Toluca Lake and two more that are pretty close by to where I live – Glendale (near The Americana) & Westlake Village. I’ve been to all four locations & did a write-up on two out of the four restaurants. So let’s check them out!
Lemonade is an LA based, fast-casual eatery. It’s set up cafeteria-style so that when you first walk in, all you have to do is grab your tray & follow the buffet line.
Lemonade Studio City is located on popular stretch of Ventura Blvd that has tons of retail shops & workout studios. It has both indoor & outdoor seating, which is really convenient & great for people watching when you want to sit outside. It’s a nice location but it also can get kind of busy. No worries though, the line moves fast even with a steady stream of customers.
There are a TON of options – salads, soups, sandwiches, braised meats, mac ‘n cheese, even vegetarian chili! It’s easy to be overwhelmed at first, but the folks behind the counter are very friendly & knowledgeable about the food.
They offer several lemonade flavors, even sugar-free options. I like to mix the sugar free lemonade with another flavor, like the old fashioned or cucumber mint. I love lemonade but unlike my hubby & daughter, I don’t like mine super sweet, so mixing it with the sugar free helps cut down on the sweetness.
At Lemonade Toluca Lake, the architecture of the building is quite unique. At this location they also have indoor/outdoor seating.
Whenever I eat at Lemonade, there are two dishes that I always have to get. The first one is the Red Quinoa salad. I absolutely love the nutty, crunchy texture of quinoa. Other standouts include the Red Curry Salmon & Watermelon Radish Salad with Ahi Tuna. Oh & that second dish that I always get? It’s the Avocado Salad with cherry tomatoes.
A friend of mine once said that a meal isn’t complete without a sweet treat. At Lemonade, there are many options!
Lemonade is known for their huge macarons. My fave is their lemon flavored macaron!
There are several Lemonade locations throughout the Los Angeles area & even one in Ventura County. Before you go, you may want to check out their menu online, as it does change with the seasons. Some of the food shown in this blog post may not be available now. You can visit their website here: http://www.lemonadela.com/
Oh & for those that are looking to recreate some Lemonade food in their own kitchen, you’ll be happy to know that they have a cookbook! You can purchase it where ever books are sold (you know, like on Amazon or an actual bookstore). 😉
So tell me, are you going to eat healthy & lean into the clean-eating movement? Have you been to a Lemonade LA & what did you try there? Please let me know in the comments. I just may try it the next time I’m there!

I’ve been to one location in Orange County. Next time I go I’ll have to try their French macarons as they’re my fave!
