Ample Hills Creamery is a Brooklyn-based ice cream company known for using only the best ingredients like organic cane sugar and hormone free milk & cream from grass fed cows. The first ice cream shop opened in 2011 & now they are up to four permanent locations & two seasonal ones (all in the New York area).
So when I heard that they had opened up an ice cream shop in Walt Disney World, I made it my personal mission to seek out the store during last month’s family vacation!
After spending the day at Hollywood Studios, we took a ferry boat over to Disney’s BoardWalk.
Orlando weather in June tends to be muggy & during our vacation, there was a thunderstorm every day. Since today was no different (hot & humid), I just knew that we’d all get double scoops! Like the sign says on the side of their store…it’s always ice cream weather here! 🙂
After we got inside, we checked out what they had to offer. The pricing is pretty much on par with other ice cream shops at Walt Disney World. So while you might think this pricing is a little expensive for a small cup of ice cream, just bear in mind that it’s within the same range as other ice cream offerings at WDW.
Check out how clever & whimsical the ice cream flavor names are at Ample Hills Creamery!
With names like Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, PB Wins the Cup & Lemon Sky, one might wonder what’s inside. Thankfully each flavor had descriptions on the ice cream case.
Since I’m a salty-sweet snack person, I opted for one scoop of Malty Salty Pretzel Punch & also a scoop of Sweet Cookies N’ Cream. Waffle cone please!
Hubby ordered the Sally Sells Seashells flavor, which you can only get at this Ample Hills Creamery location. It’s made with an orange marshmallow ice cream with housemade salty chocolate seashells. Almost all of their mix-ins are made in house from scratch.
When it came time for my daughter to order, she got a scoop of Pepppermint Pattie (peppermint ice cream with flakes of dark chocolate & housemade peppermint patties) & a scoop of Cotton Candy!
If you are planning on going to Disney World, you should check out Ample Hills Creamery!
So tell me, are you planning on going to Walt Disney World any time soon? What food spots are you going to hit up?

We stay in the Epcot resort area often and can’t wait to try this spot!! Glad Salky Sells Seashells isn’t seashell flavored. That was my first question. 😉

My hubby thought it tasted like an orange creamsicle! 🙂 Thanks Jessica for stopping by my blog!
