Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart Inside AREA15 Las Vegas

Posted on January 29, 2024 | Filed Under: Pop Culture, Reviews | Tags: AREA15, Las Vegas attractions, Las Vegas immersive experience, Meow Wolf, Omega Mart | 9 Comments

Earlier this month, my family and I drove to Las Vegas for a quick weekend trip. My daughter had been wanting to check out Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart for the longest time, and we finally had the opportunity to visit. In addition to Omega Mart, AREA15 houses several different attractions and experiences (axe throwing, indoor golf, zip lining, etc.).

To say that stepping into Omega Mart is like ‘a fever dream’ is an understatement. When you walk in, it seems like a kitschy gift shop with whimsical products that are modeled after items in a grocery store.

Delve a little deeper into this immersive experience and you’ll soon enter what I like to call ‘the upside-down world.’

Inside Omega Mart

Open any door within Omega Mart and you’ll soon discover that it could lead to a potential entryway into another dimension with art installations, or a room with flashing lights or even a maze taking you to a completely different area of the complex.

It’s almost like a ‘choose your own adventure’ game! I had to make sure that me and my hubby stayed together with our daughter, because we could easily have wandered off and lost touch with each other.

There are areas where you can watch video screens of Omega Mart employees.

You can also be a DJ and play music on the upper level.

It’s hard to put into words exactly what the experience is all about. It’s part fun house, part mystery maze with a dash of art deco installations. You could easily spend 2+ hours there. In fact, my daughter wanted to stay longer, but we had to drive back home to LA that afternoon.

Watch this short video that features some of the rooms! Although photos and video don’t really do it justice. I encourage you to visit it in person the next time that you are in Vegas. It’s a trippy experience that you won’t forget! If you are going to check it out, I suggest carving out at least 3 hours of your day.

Pro tip: If you go with a group of people and find yourself tapping out after 1.5 hours, tell them that you’ll meet them at Oddwood which is a 2,500-square-foot, open-space cocktail bar. It sits right outside the Omega Mart experience, in the center of AREA15. While the rest of your party spends 3+ hours wandering around Omega Mart, you can chill out at the bar for some light bites and a drink. They have an assortment of cocktails, beer, wine, mocktails, wellness juices and small bites.

Thank you, AREA15 and Omega Mart for hosting our visit. We had a blast and hope to come again the next time we are in Las Vegas!

I love visiting Meow Wolf in New Mexico. I went to Las Vegas 2 years ago for a conference and forgot to visit this place.

This sounds like a super fun experience. My son would love it. Maybe I can take him one day. We live in Texas though so it’s a bit of a drive.
