There are many places in this world that I would love to visit! There are cities in Asia, Europe and South America that are on my bucket list. So when I heard that there’s an exhibit in downtown LA that allows you to fully explore Vatican City without ever leaving California, I thought, “Sign me up!”
I took my parents with me to Explore Vatican located inside Ace Mission Studios. It was an incredible experience!
Walking into the exhibit, I had a general understanding about The Vatican, but I learned so much more. One thing that I didn’t realize is that Vatican City is the smallest country in the world!
This immersive experience is like no other and we gained so much knowledge about the artisans and craftsmen who built St. Peter’s Piazza and created the artwork that adorned the Sistine Chapel.
My favorite part was the spacious area that had 360° video projection. This innovative multi-sensory approach allows you to not only see the breathtaking sights, but you’ll also listen to the soaring music while you take in the visuals.
The photos above don’t really do it justice, so check out this short video highlighting our visit.
Thank you, Explore Vatican for hosting me and my parents! The technology at this exhibit enabled us to see something half a world away. There’s so much rich history and we walked away with such an appreciation for what was built. I highly recommend a visit – it’s something that the whole family can take part in!
