Astra Lumina is an enchanting experience at the South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes. This nighttime walk has nine radiant installations that will dazzle you.
Discover a celestial pathway of lustrous light during a one-mile night walk through a botanical garden in Palos Verdes.
One thing to note about the pathway is that you’ll be walking along sidewalks, but most of the time it is a dirt path that can be narrow at times, and it does go uphill. For families who are thinking of bringing a stroller, keep this in mind and make sure you bring one that is an all-terrain stroller.
Before you start your walk through the botanical gardens, you might want to kick off the festivities with a holiday beverage and snack. Astra Lumina has one food and beverage area close to the entrance with several tables.
We enjoyed our hot cocoas while strolling along the path.
Here’s a short video that highlights our visit, although photos and video don’t really do it justice. It’s something that you’ll just have to see for yourself to get the full experience!
Thank you, Fever and Moment Factory, for hosting our visit! My family loved the amazing projections, lighting and celestial music at South Coast Botanic Garden. This was such a fun activity to kick off winter break.
Astra Lumina just extended their dates through early next year. So, if you can’t attend before the end of the year, you’ll have until March 10, 2024 to visit.
