If you’re looking for a fun and challenging activity, then look no further than Soar Over Ventura, a zip line and adventure course at Ventura Ranch KOA in Santa Paula.

Soar Over Ventura is open to the public. You don’t have to be a camper at the Ventura Ranch KOA to join in on the fun!

The adventure park has two courses:

  1. Adventure Course includes 8 zip lines and 12 rope obstacles.
  2. Eagles Nest Zip Line Course has 4 zip lines that are faster, longer, and higher!

You can buy tickets to either one or get a package deal on both.

When my husband and I arrived at check-in, we handed over our waivers and the Adventure Course Instructor guided us through “Flight School” where we learned about the equipment and completed a practice course before we started the real thing.

The rope obstacles are physically challenging, but not hard.

Imagine being high up in the trees as you walk along wooden planks. The views are beautiful!

Only one person is allowed on the rope obstacle. You must wait on the wooden station, while the other person crosses to the other side. I was able to take photos and videos while waiting for my husband.

Both the Adventure Course and Eagles Nest are self-guided tours. It took us about 90 minutes to complete. My husband and I had a blast tackling both. Check out the video below to see snippets of our experience!

Soar Over Ventura is a one-hour drive from the San Fernando Valley and about a 30-minute drive from Oxnard. It makes for a fun day trip, especially with the upcoming Thankgiving holiday break.

Earlier this month, my husband and I participated in Soar Over Ventura and stayed at Ventura Ranch KOA for a weekend getaway! There are many activities to take part in at the KOA and I’ll highlight those, as well our accommodations, in a later blog post.

For more information on Soar Over Ventura, visit their website here. You can also check out their Facebook page and the Ventura Ranch KOA Instagram to get the latest updates!

Disclosure: No monetary compensation was received for this post. I received complimentary tickets to Soar Over Ventura which helped facilitate this review. All images are mine unless otherwise noted. As always, my opinions are 100% my own.

How fun! Mabel’s teacher lives near here and they love to camp. Need to make sure she knows of KOA!

This looks like a blast. I have always wanting to try ziplining. I’m afraid of heights but I think I’d still enjoy it.

My son would love this adventure park. I wish that I could do it but after back surgery I’m not sure I want to be this adventurous. But I’d take my son and watch him in a heartbeat.

Oh wow, that looks like so much fun. You’re super brave to do that. Not sure I’d manage it all myself. This is the sort of thing my sister would really love to do.

This sounds like such a fun adventure! I love that you don’t have to be staying at the KOA to experience it.

That would be awesome to walk up high. We did something similar once years ago in trees.
