Visiting Escapology Escape Rooms in Northridge

Posted on November 9, 2023 | Filed Under: Pop Culture, Reviews | Tags: escape games, escape rooms in LA, Escapology Escape Rooms, Escapology Northridge | 2 Comments

True confession – I’ve never been in an escape room until last month. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always wanted to participate in an escape game, but for some reason I thought it would scare me. Admittedly, there are some escape rooms that aim for thrills and chills. Fortunately, Escapology Escape Rooms in Northridge is less about frightening its guests and more about entertainment and adventure in the form of brain teasers, hidden clues, cracking codes, solving challenging puzzles and lastly – escape!

Escapology Northridge - Storefront

Last month, I was invited to attend a media event at Northridge Fashion Center. Escapology Escape Rooms threw a fun-filled sneak peek, where attendees got to experience an escape game – Scooby-Doo and The Spooky Castle Adventure or Batman: The Dark Knight Challenge. Some guests even did both!

Since I’m a fan of Batman, I opted to try out that escape room, where our mission was to escape the Batcave. We had one hour to complete the exercise.

I learned that to be successful in an escape game, you need good communication skills and the ability to work with others as a team.

Was it stressful at times? Perhaps, but my heart was pounding more from the excitement and the eventual thrill of victory. We made it with 10 minutes to spare!

Escapology has over a half-dozen themed experiences like Mansion Murder, Batman, A Pirate’s Curse, Scooby-Doo (their #1 game) and more! Plus, they have an escape game called “Kids Mode” that’s specifically for players aged 7-14 years old, which is perfect for children’s birthday parties. Want to play with your kids? You can also book a regular game to have that mix of adults/kids. It’s a fun and interactive way to engage with friends and family!

I love escape rooms! My daughters and I especially love them. We have done a lot already, and are actually going to one over the weekend for my daughters birthday. We can’t wait!

I’d love to try something out like the Bat Cave! Sounds like a lot of fun! Another great write, Jen. No clues nor tips other than communication
