Eight years ago, we were introduced to Moana and now the ocean is calling us back for more in Moana 2! Returning characters include Moana, voiced by Auli’i Cravalho and Maui, played by star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, as well as Heihei the silly rooster, and Pua, Moana’s pet pig.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ epic animated musical “Moana 2” reunites Moana (voice of Cravalho) and Maui (voice of Johnson) three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
Starring the voice talents of Rachel House (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Next Goal Wins) as Moana’s Grandma, Temuera Morrison (The Mandalorian) as Moana’s father, Chief Tui and Nicole Scherzinger (Annie Live!) as Moana’s mother, Sina. Additional voices include newcomer Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda as Moana’s sweet little sister, Simea. Hualālai Chung (NCIS: Hawai’i), David Fane (Next Goal Wins) and Rose Matafeo (Starstruck) as Moana’s new crew members Moni, Kele and Loto, respectively.
Action abounds as Moana tries to break the curse that the evil god Nalo has placed on the island of Motufetu. Providing comic relief are Moana’s sidekicks, Heihei and Pua.
The animated movie with toe-tapping tunes is entertaining and fun! If you’re a fan of “Moana,” this is a must-see!

Wow, I haven’t seen Moana yet. I remember watching Tangled growing up. Love Rapunzel, the strong fictional female protagonist. Need to check this movie out too, thanks!

My kids are grown but I do want to see this one. I like the cartoons still. 🙂
