The musical “Catch Me If You Can” is based on the true story and blockbuster film. It’s currently playing at The Colony Theatre Company in Burbank.

The Broadway musical has colorful, high-energy dance numbers set to a big-band jazz score.

The musical comedy is structured as a 1960s variety show (think “The Ed Sullivan Show”) where the teenage Frank Abagnale Jr. confesses his crimes. Check out a snippet from TikTok below!

The Colony Theatre Company is a world-class professional theatre located on North Third Street next to the Burbank Town Center. It’s a spacious, yet intimate space that features stadium seating and a clear view from every seat in the house.

If you’d like to get drinks or a meal before or after the musical, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of The Colony Theatre. If you don’t mind the short drive, there is a special collaboration happening between The Colony Theatre and e.d.b. Burbank. They offer a tropical drink inspired by the musical called “In the Clouds.” You can read more about it here.

“Catch Me If You Can: The Musical” runs through October 18, and when I last checked, there were still tickets available for this weekend’s (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) shows. I’m going this weekend and my husband and I are really looking forward to it!
