Hooray, it’s Friday! Although this was a short work week for me (my office was closed on Monday in observance of the holiday), I feel like I packed in a lot of things. However, most of the things I’m going to mention in this ‘Friday Feels’ blog post took place over the Fourth of July holiday weekend. We hopped all over LA and the San Fernando Valley. Oh, the places you will go indeed! Stand-up Paddle boarding (SUP) in Marina del Rey I … [Read more...]
Taste of Universal {Foodie Review}
Last weekend, I attended Taste of Universal with my family. It had been over a year since we were inside of Universal Studios and when we heard about this foodie event, we immediately bought tickets! Prices for the tickets vary, depending on what day of the week you attend. Your ticket includes 5 food or beverage items (3 for kids). Not a bad deal considering most of the food items cost between $7-10. Although all rides, shows, and … [Read more...]

While indoor dining has been temporarily suspended in Carmel, Lugano Swiss Bistro offers outdoor patio dining, as well as curbside pickup. I suggest making a reservation ahead of time, as these outdoor tables do go … [Read more...]
Meet Judy Elswick of Birdiejudy Custom Cookies
Earlier this year, to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, I reached out to my friend Judy to make special sugar cookies as part of a goodie bag gift for my daughter’s best friends. I’ve known Judy for over 20 years. In fact, we worked together many years ago at the same company. What started as a hobby for my friend, turned into a bigger passion, as well as a thriving side gig! Please meet the latest Real Mom of the SFV – Judy … [Read more...]

Note: This post is for informational purposes only. It is based on personal experiences and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical care. When my daughter was about 2 ½, we had her tested for allergies. I was concerned because her eczema never seemed to go away, no matter what type of lotion we used. We took her to a dermatologist who prescribed a special cream. I remember asking him if eczema could be caused by our dog and he … [Read more...]
