Thousands of Hello Kitty fans lined the streets of downtown Los Angeles to attend Hello Kitty Con last week. I attended a media preview of Hello Kitty Con last Wednesday night, but because I am such a Hello Kitty nerd, I went back another day to view it again with the public. Hello Kitty Con took place at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (The Museum of Contemporary Art) in DTLA. It is literally steps away from the Little Tokyo district, … [Read more...]
Hitting the Reset Button with Soupure
About a year & a half ago, I cut out cheese & Diet Coke for 4 weeks in preparation for my family’s summer vacation to Hawaii. I also limited carbs, coffee & tea about 2 weeks prior to the trip. I remember feeling great during that vacation – well rested & energetic. Since we were in Hawaii, I made sure to eat a lot of local fruits & fish – so it was easy to eat “clean” while we were there. It was looking like he’d need a new belt at a different belt size. That’s when I … [Read more...]

I remember reading about the grand opening online & thinking that the concept sounded very interesting. A couple of weeks ago, I attended a luncheon with a handful of bloggers. Before I sat down to order, I peeked inside their meat locker. I learned that Meat District Co. … [Read more...]
