On Saturday, September 26th, the Autry Museum will host its Annual Block Party! This is a community-focused celebration, offering a fun-filled day for all ages.
This year’s theme is Love Letters to LA, celebrating Los Angeles and everything that makes it unique and amazing.
Enjoy a lively carnival atmosphere with music, games, food, and a fully interactive Dino Land on the Autry’s back lot.
Families can explore the museum through hands-on activities, including face painting and a Nature Cat character meet-and-greet.
Additional activities include:
- Live Music Stages: The Midnight Cowgirls, Las Chorizeras, The Volcanics, Holy Crow Jazz Band, Country Vision Band, and Mr. Silly Gloves
- Cultural Performances and Dancing: Wildhorse Singers and Dancers, Mike’s Country Dancing, the Inglewood Guys and Dolls Square Dancers, and Calpulli Xiuh Arte
- In Gallery Performances: Cowboy Poetry L.A. and Strong Words
- Food Trucks and Beverage Stations
- Film screening of Steve Martin’s L.A. Story
- Documentary Screening: Maara’yam: The Yuhaaviatam Story
- Plein Air Painting by the California Art Club
- Horse Photo Op and Grooming Workshops by Urban Saddles
- Car Show Featuring Classic Cars and Hot Rods
- Carnival Games, Bounce Houses, Mechanical Bull, and Ferris Wheel
