I love a good smoothie, especially as a post-workout treat or even as something to drink in the morning while I do school drop off. That’s why I was very intrigued when I heard about Berry Bliss Superfood Blend created by Philosophie.
What is a Superfood Blend? Superfood powders are blends of the very best plant-based materials on earth. Superfoods are vitamin & mineral-dense substances prized for their unique nutrient profiles & ability to activate the body’s natural potential for cleansing, repairing & rebuilding. Philosophie has three different Superfood Blend flavors: Green Dream, Cacao Magic & Berry Bliss. I chose Berry Bliss because this particular blend had an ingredient list containing organic acai, organic goji & organic pomegranate (just to name a few). This Superfood Blend is very high in Vitamin C & antioxidant content.
Why would I want to use Superfood Blend? I know that it’s best to get your vitamins & minerals from whole foods – eat an apple, not applesauce, eat raw carrots rather than drink carrot juice. However if I’m going to enjoy something like a smoothie, then my rationale is that I might as well add a plant-based item (such as the Superfood Blend) to it to give me that extra boost. Let’s face it, I need all the help I can get. 🙂
So back to my smoothie – I decided to make a blueberry one after my TRX workout.
Blueberry Smoothie with Berry Bliss Superfood
Ingredients
6 oz. of non-fat Greek yogurt
2 tsp Berry Bliss Superfood
1 cup blueberries
Splash of milk (You can substitute soy milk, almond milk, etc. & use as little or as much as you want)
Directions
Throw everything in a blender & enjoy!!
Tell me, do you drink smoothies or protein shakes after you workout? If you were to use a Superfood Blend, which flavor would you try: Green Dream, Cacao Magic or Berry Bliss?

I do love protein shakes after I workout and this smoothie sounds delish. I like acai and pom. I’ve used acai powders anyway in smoothies. Goji berries…I had some dried ones one time and…just was not a fan. But I know they are so good for you. So having it as part of a blend makes a lot of sense!
