As a busy mom with multiple jobs, there are days when I am short on time. So if that means I don’t get to the grocery store for food shopping or I don’t have time to cook a dinner from scratch (and really, who has time for that 7 days a week anyhow?), then that means I am buying take-out food. On days when it’s more convenient to do drive-through, it’s nice to know that Del Taco has me covered!
Del Taco recently unveiled three new yummy salads under the name Handcrafted Ensaladas. The flavors are:
- Chicken Bacon Avocado Salad
- Mexican Chopped Chicken Salad
- Signature Taco Salad
All are priced at $5.49 & have a calorie count that is under 600 calories. Each salad is made to order with lettuce, sliced Hass avocado, handmade pico de gallo & fresh house-made tortilla chips. The Handcrafted Ensalada also comes with a cilantro pepita ranch dressing.
Recently I had the Signature Taco Salad for lunch. The crisp tortilla chips & delicious salad satisfied my cravings. Yes, this is fast food, but I felt better about the choice I made at the counter.
While we all strive to cook & eat wonderfully home-cooked meals, sometimes there just isn’t enough hours in the day to do that. Isn’t it nice that we have some choices?! I, for one, like the idea of having the choice between Chicken Bacon Avocado, Mexican Chopped Chicken &/or Signature Taco Salads. Which one would you choose?
