Recently I was driving to Anaheim from the Valley on a Friday afternoon. Naturally there was traffic & I was stuck in gridlock, no matter what freeway I took. My daughter was in the backseat, happily listening to music on her iPod. I decided that I needed to “get my zen on” & popped into the CD player this new album by Emeralde called Wind and Shadows.
Wind and Shadows is the first album for Emeralde & it is a powerful CD that features songs written & performed by dynamic songwriting duo Mark Gasbarro and Margie Russomanno. Their music is considered adult contemporary pop. While listening to their CD it brought to mind musical numbers by Bette Midler & also the melodic ballads from Vanessa Williams.
One of their upbeat songs is Spontaneous & you can watch the video right here…
The songs on the album are:
- Spontaneous
- Since You’ve Been Gone
- Undone
- There For You
- Mandarin Sky
- When It Rains
- Up For Air
- Roses and Ruins
- If You Go Away
- Forever
- Reverie
- King and Queen of Summer
- Beautiful Life
My personal favorite of the songs is When It Rains. When I hear the song, it makes me want to curl up on the couch with a book & sip my English breakfast tea. 🙂
