There is nothing quite like heading to the coast to escape the summer heat. Now, imagine watching the sunset on the beach while listening to a beautiful, live piano performance. Composer and MindTravel music creator Murray Hidary is bringing his performance to Ventura’s San Buenaventura State Beach on July 20th.
The concert is a one-of-a-kind live piano performance delivered straight to your personal wireless headphones. It shares a similar concept of silent disco, but offers so much more. Through soothing, improvisational music, Hidary creates an unforgettable experience that quiets the mind, guiding you into deep relaxation and clarity.

The MindTravel music concert in Ventura is perfect for:
- Music lovers and creatives seeking fresh inspiration
- Wellness seekers in need of a reset
- Meditators of all levels ready to deepen their practice
- Anyone wanting a uniquely meaningful night out
Attendees can stretch out on the sand and enjoy the music as the sun sets. Seating is not provided, so you’ll want to bring a blanket, low-backed beach chair, or cushion to stay comfortable.
While this is a family-friendly evening event; guests should be comfortable sitting quietly for the duration of the performance to preserve the peaceful experience.
Recently, I had the opportunity to inteview Murray Hidary. Check out the mini Q&A below!
What inspired you to start this business?
Murray: MindTravel began from a simple but profound concept: music has the power to meet us where we are, to heal, and to transform. I wanted to create experiences that help people slow down, reconnect, and share meaningful moments in beautiful places.
Do you change your set list between cities?
Murray: Every performance is unique. While there are themes I return to, I improvise the music each night in response to the setting, the energy of the audience, and what feels present in the moment.
What has been your favorite place or setting to perform?
Murray: It’s hard to choose just one because every landscape offers something different. But if I had to choose, I would say that performing the first-ever piano concert on the seventh continent of Antarctica was pretty unforgettable.
What do you hope audiences take away from these silent concerts?
Murray: I hope people leave feeling a little more present, a little more connected, and a little more inspired. In a world that’s constantly asking for our attention, these experiences are an invitation to simply be.
