Valentine’s Day is this Sunday & if you haven’t decided on what to do yet, then you’ve come to the right place! There are so many fun options at the Village at Westfield Topanga.
I don’t know about you but Valentine’s Day ranks right up there with Mother’s Day in terms of pampering & prep. Recently I had a mommy makeover & I realized that it truly takes a village to help me find my pretty! 😉
Kelly, the manager at Drybar, gave me a fab blowout! I chose the Mai Tai look, which is messy, beachy hair. I love curly hair & back in the day I used to rock the #bighairdontcare look quite a bit! If you are looking to get a nice blowout for Valentine’s, I’d recommend booking an appointment. They do accommodate walk-ins at Drybar, but it is strongly suggested that you schedule an appointment on weekends & during busy periods.
Next door to Drybar is Blushington Makeup & Beauty Lounge. They have different makeup application services such as: full face, TV ready, eyes only & even brow maintenance. It’s really rare that I wear makeup. In fact on most days you’ll find me in yoga pants, a ponytail & makeup free. So it was a real treat to get dolled up!
Frequent visitors to this part of the Village call this area “Beauty Row” because a few doors down from Blushington is the Nail Garden, where you can get your mani pedi on! I haven’t been to this Nail Garden, but I’ve gone to the one in Porter Ranch, so I have a feeling the one at the Village is equally nice!
Now that you know where to go for your Valentine’s Day beauty prep, it’s time to find that special Valentine’s outfit of the day! Over at JET John Eshaya clothing boutique, they have the latest fashions.
Check out these fun fashion looks that I found at JET John Eshava! My mommy makeover was captured in a short video, which you can view here!
Looking for a romantic dinner option in Woodland Hills? Look no further than Il Fornaio!
If a low-key Sunday brunch on Valentine’s is more your speed, then check out Eureka Woodland Hills, where you can enjoy two specialty cocktails – “Facebook Official (FBO)” & “It’s Complicated” with your meal.
Feeling creative? Stop in at Fleurish before Sunday so that you can create your own floral arrangement for your sweetie at the Fleurish Floral Bar**!
Over at Sur La Table, you can invite your special someone for a hands-on cooking class or enjoy in some family fun & make a Valentine’s sweet treat.
So now that I’ve got you covered with Valentine’s prep, beauty, fashion & food – here’s another tip if you have kids! I know for moms, these outings wouldn’t be possible without a helping hand to take care of you kids. Fortunately for me, I have the UrbanSitter app on my phone (which many describe as Uber for babysitters). Just a few taps & BOOM, I have a sitter that’s been vetted & even recommended by fellow mom friends!
For my parent friends out there, my Valentine’s gift to you is this – just click https://www.urbansitter.com/promo/gift & enter promo code “GIFTJENNIFER” to get a $50 UrbanSitter Credit! (Good for 1st time users only.) This is available for the entire month of February, so if you can’t take advantage of it this weekend, there is still the rest of the month. Oscar party anyone?! 🙂
**UPDATE: Please note that Fleurish is no longer at The Village. I was informed via Yelp & also the Fleurish website that the business is closed.**
