Stonefire Grill’s Test Kitchen Specials are entrees & appetizers with a Mediterranean flair. Recently I attended a media dinner to check out this new specialty menu & sample the food.
As soon as my family & I sat down, we immediately dove into Stonefire’s Mediterranean Salad Platter. This is a great appetizer platter that comes with quinoa, Mediterranean chopped salad, farro salad, pita bread & hummus.
Hummus & pita are always a crowd pleaser in my family but I had never had Farro Salad that tasted quite like this one from Stonefire Grill. In addition to farro, which is a whole grain, the salad has onion, basil, parsley & my personal fave – Parmesan cheese.
Next we sampled the Branzino which is a European sea bass. It’s prepared with lemon, olive oli & red chili flakes & served with a side of the Farro Salad that I really love. I really enjoyed this dish. It’s tasty – the flavors are light & bright due to the lemon & olive oil.
Then we tried the Mediterranean Chicken Platter. It comes with pita bread, hummus, avocado, chopped salad & made from scratch chicken patties.
Next up was the Mediterranean Chicken Pita which is similar to the chicken platter but instead everything is inside of a pita.
We wrapped up our meal with a delicious piece of carrot cake. It was a perfect way to end our Mediterranean-inspired meal!
Stonefire Grill’s Test Kitchen Specials are offered for only a limited time at their West Hills & Thousand Oaks locations. For hours & location info, check out Stonefire’s website here.
