Cannoli Chips – The Original Crispy Pastry Snack!

You’ve heard of cannoli, right? It’s an Italian pastry made with a tube-shaped shell of fried pastry dough & filled with filled with sweet ricotta and/or mascarpone. Golden Cannoli is a company based in Massachusetts that has been making hand-made cannoli shells for over 40 years. They recently came out with a new product called Cannoli Chips!

Talk about putting a new twist on an old tradition! These Cannoli Chips are made with the same fine ingredients (along with a whole lotta love) as Golden Cannoli’s other cannoli products.

Cannoli Chips come in three flavors: Powdered Sugar, Cinnamon & Sugar and Cookies & Cream.

The first bag that I opened was the Powdered Sugar flavor.

I ate about 8 chips, which is one serving size. That little handful of chips is equal to 80 calories & 4 grams of fat.

So how did it taste? The chips are sweet & crunchy. I honestly could snack on the whole bag! However I did show some restraint, after all I intend on sharing these with the family during Sunday’s Super Bowl game! 🙂

What I like about this snack food is that the company took a popular food item & adapted it for a totally new product. You can munch on them straight from the bag, crumble it up & use it as an ice cream topping or sprinkle it on yogurt with fruit. The possibilities are endless!

The fact that these are nut-free are such a relief for this mom (since my kiddo is allergic to all kinds of nuts). I might just sneak a baggie of these into her lunch box next week! 🙂
