Last summer, my family & I ate at Be Our Guest restaurant inside Walt Disney World. We were in Orlando for our week-long family vacation & one of the things that I had on my “to do” list was to try out the “Beauty and the Beast” themed restaurant.
We had made reservations five months before our Orlando trip due to the popularity of the restaurant. Quite frankly, during the summer months practically every restaurant in WDW is booked out (they suggest that guests book reservations for Disney resort restaurants 180 days in advance). If you manage to get into the Be Our Guest restaurant on a walk-in, consider yourself lucky. It’s the equivalent of walking into the Blue Bayou Restaurant at Disneyland (without a reservation) & getting seated right by the water – it can happen, but just don’t count on it being anytime soon.
Our party of 8 is a big group, so we were not able to book a lunch reservation during the day that we were slated to be at the Magic Kingdom. In my opinion, the lunch meals were priced more reasonably than breakfast or lunch. So we opted to go there for breakfast since between the two (breakfast vs dinner), the breakfast was less expensive overall.
After we arrived at the restaurant, we had a little bit of a wait even though we had reservations. When your party is called up to the front, you are taken to an area of the restaurant to order your food. Then instead of having a waiter or hostess seat you to a table, you are left with wandering around the big restaurant searching for an empty table.
Maybe it’s just me, but when you are tired, hot & hangry, you just want to get to a table as soon as possible. Since were a large group, we had the added challenge of finding a table big enough to accommodate all of us. Then for those of us who ordered coffee, we had to meander over to the coffee bar area, where it was self-serve. After a short while, our waiter wheeled over the cart of food, where I immediately pounced on it, after I took 20 pictures of each entrée from various different angles. (blogger humor) 😉
So how is the food? Pretty yummy! They have assorted pastries & different breakfast sandwiches to choose from.
While we were waiting for our food, members of our group wandered around the restaurant to take pictures. When you look out the “window” you can see snow falling just like in the movie.
There are pictures from “Beauty and the Beast” all over the walls.
There’s even the Enchanted Rose in a glass dome over in another part of the restaurant. Naturally it’s the most popular area for a photo opp, so I was lucky to get a photo of the rose by itself.
The restaurant is decorated beautifully & there are lots of thoughtful touches that will make you think of the movie (animated and soon to be live action).
Although the cost of the food was a little steep (in my humble opinion), it was priceless to see my kiddo’s smile after we left the Be Our Guest restaurant! It’s a once in a lifetime memory that we will hold in our hearts for a long time.
The Be Our Guest restaurant is located in Fantasyland within the Magic Kingdom of the Walt Disney World Resort. For more info, visit the website here.

Yep, we are going on Saturday too! Hope to see you there but I know there will be a mad crush of people at the screening.
I know you of all people can relate to the food picture taking! Lol… 😉
This is such a fun restaurant! To be honest I was not impressed with the lunch meal there, but maybe I should give it another shot for breakfast.
I agree Mindy, it truly is a neat restaurant! I think it’s all about the experience of seeing the interiors & less about the food. If I ever went back to WDW, I’d still like to try it for lunch though.
I love the inside of Be Our Guest! It’s so stunning. I’ve really enjoyed the dinners I’ve had there, the food was quite good, but I was underwhelmed with breakfast and lunch. I still don’t pass up the chance to go though!
Thanks for dropping by my blog Becky! It is so pretty inside. I’d like to try it again in the future, maybe try lunch or dinner.
Sounds like a fun vacation especially for a true Disney fan. Your daughters smile is priceless!

It was a lot of fun at WDW LaShon! Great memories at the theme park & the restaurant. 🙂
Love the themed restaurants. If you can believe it I still haven’t done Blue Bayou either (and I used to work at the park). I need to! I can’t wait for the live action film! Already have a girls’ night planned! Enjoy!!
Wow, I didn’t know that you used to work at Disneyland! We just watched the live action film this morning & you are in for a real treat. Have fun with your girls!
