All of your favorite characters are back for “Thor: Ragnarok” which is the latest installment of the Thor franchise movies. Thor, Loki, Odin & Heimdall have returned for more adventures.
“Thor: Ragnarok” introduces a new lead character in the form of Hela (Cate Blanchett) who is the very first female villain to be highlighted on film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Let me tell you folks, having seen an early screening of the movie, Cate is “hela good” at playing an evil villain.
The film also includes the fierce warrior Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Skurge the bald-headed executioner (Karl Urban), & the Sakaarian dictator Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum).
In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk!
The film does a nice job of weaving in details of the storylines from “Thor: The Dark World” & “Avengers: Age of Ultron” so that it ties up some of the loose ends. This is also probably the most humorous of all three Thor films. My hubby laughed more in this one than the previous two movies (which were funny in their own right). In my opinion, Jeff Goldblum’s kooky & maniacal character stole a lot of the scenes. If you are a Marvel fan, then I definitely recommend that you see this movie. You’ll walk out of the theater entertained, energized & feeling hela good! 😉
“Thor: Ragnarok” opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, November 3rd!
“Thor: Ragnarok” is rated PG-13.
