Monster Jam + America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I partnered with Monster Jam & America’s Best for this project. All opinions are my own.

Monster Jam, in partnership with America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, recently offered a free vision screening event at the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood. It couldn’t have come at a better time! As kids are heading off to school this month, it’s important to get their eyes checked to see if their vision is clear & healthy.

I remember when I was in 4th grade & wasn’t able to see the chalkboard when my teacher was explaining long division. Up until then I had always been a good math student, but my mom noticed that my math classwork was being returned red-lined with mistakes. It turns out that I needed glasses in order to see what my teacher was explaining on the board!

My daughter wears glasses & I always make sure she goes to her eye doctor for her annual check-up. When I heard about the free vision screening at the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood, plus the chance to meet Armando Castro (El Toro Loco) of Monster Jam, I couldn’t wait to take part in the experience!

We arrived at the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood, where we met local representatives from the America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses Glendale store. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that to date, more than 11,000 kids have received a free vision screening as a result of the collaboration between America’s Best & the Boys & Girls Club of America.

Kids of all ages went through the line to get their vision screenings. We also learned that Monster Jam has come out with a new line of eyeglasses called, Monster Jam Kids’ Frame Collection!

For every pair of the new Monster Jam frames sold in stores, America’s Best will donate $5 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America for the rest of the year as part of their continued partnership with the non-profit organization. That’s a win-win for everyone!

My kiddo enjoyed meeting Armando Castro & getting to drive the Monster Jam truck toy vehicle.

We even got to see Armando give an interview with a local TV station, as he explained the partnership between Monster Jam, America’s Best & the Boys & Girls Club!
