Home Fitness with Hyperwear SandBell

Posted on April 1, 2020 | Filed Under: Fitness, Product Reviews | Tags: home fitness, Hyperwear, SandBell, workout equipment | 2 Comments

I’ve always been a fan of working out, not just for my physical health but for my emotional well-being and mental health. When I feel anxious or on edge, I take a cycle class. I love the “high” that I get after a good sweat session!

So when I (along with everyone else in the country) had to shelter in place, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for physical activity. I love taking fitness classes at the gym, so I had to get creative when it comes to exercising at home. I’ve seen people jogging around town, especially since the weather in LA is usually nice. However, after putting in a day of working from home, I don’t necessarily feel like lacing up my running shoes.

There’s always Zumba on YouTube or what I’ve seen a lot of fitness trainers doing lately is putting their workouts on Instagram or Facebook Live. For those who want to have a variety of choices, there’s an app called Les Mills OnDemand that has tons of workouts on it.

In addition to doing cardio, I wanted to do some strength-training. Enter the Hyperwear SandBell!

Hyperwear - Sandbell_variety

I was first introduced to the SandBell at Sandbox Fitness. The trainers love to use the SandBell in their boot camp classes. I found myself preferring the SandBell over a dumbbell or kettlebell because it’s easier to hold.

The Hyperwear SandBell is a soft, sand-filled NeoPrene weight. It’s a great at-home workout tool to own and is available in weights ranging from 2–50 lbs. The SandBell is designed to be used as a sandbag, medicine ball, dumbbell, kettlebell, slam ball, and more!

The SandBell is extremely durable and safe to use for all ages and fitness levels. Even my daughter used it for her “PE class at home”! She did tricep exercises and then got her cardio going with basketball. You can see us in action on my Instagram Stories here.

I found a lot of great fitness videos on YouTube that explain how to use a Hyperwear SandBell. Here’s one that I really liked!

As you can see, the SandBell is awesome for full-body-workouts or targeting specific muscle groups. It’s ideal for beginners, intermediates, and the advanced. Unlike kettlebells and dumb bells, you won’t have to worry about it scratching your floors!

I’m so glad that I added the SandBell to my home workout routine. Since I can’t get to the gym right now, I can use it whenever it’s convenient at home – in between video conference calls for work, while watching TV, or out on the patio/backyard!

When it’s a sunny day + arm day, then you take your fitness routine outdoors! #workout 💪 😃 ☀️ What’s your #homefitness routine now that we’re all sheltering in place? Just because we have to stay home, that doesn’t mean you have to skip the workout!
