Now that its fall, it’s time to enjoy cold weather drinks like hot chocolate, lattes and hot apple cider. What I’ve been longing to try is a hot cocoa bomb, something that I discovered last year on Instagram. I had never heard of it until a friend of mine posted it on social media. She had bought her hot chocolate bombs from a bakery, but little did I know that you can make them yourself at home. Enter the Ultimate Hot Cocoa Bomb Set from Handstand Kitchen!
This deluxe set comes with a silicone mold, tools and a recipe booklet to make the hot cocoa bombs.
All you’ll need to do is buy the ingredients to make the hot cocoa bombs. We bought mini marshmallows, two types of chocolate chips and hot cocoa.
Over the weekend, my daughter and I made hot cocoa bombs. First, we melted the chocolate and then “painted” them into the molds, which are BPA-free.
After following the steps, it was time to assemble the chocolate bombs on parchment paper.
Finally it was time to try the hot cocoa bombs. It was delicious!
This is such a fun activity for fall/winter days AND it makes a great holiday gift! The different chocolate and decorating combinations are endless. You can even make the hot cocoa bombs, put them in the decorative bags that come with the set and hand them out as favors or stocking stuffers.
The Ultimate Hot Cocoa Bomb Set is designed for ages six years and up. My teen easily handled making these on her own, but for younger children they will probably need to be supervised.
The Ultimate Hot Cocoa Bomb Set retails for $29.99. For more information, check out the Handstand Kitchen website here and don’t forget to check out their Facebook page for the latest updates!
