Recently my daughter and I spent a fun Saturday afternoon making our own lip glosses. My teen daughter is kind of low maintenance when it comes to make-up, but lip gloss is something that we both use, so I was thrilled that we got to make something that we would both enjoy using!
The Lip Gloss Making Kit allows users to customize their very own, ready-to-wear colors and shades. The kit comes with five different specialty mineral pigment powders and a myriad of color possibilities. It also contains nourishing and ultra-hydrating ingredients that keeps lips soft.
According to the website, the kits can be enjoyed by children as young as 9 years-old (with adult supervision of course).
All of the kits are handmade in the United States and contain ingredients from U.S. suppliers and distributors, with cosmetic pigment ingredients that are all permitted for safe use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The lip gloss making process is fairly simple and my teenage daughter handled it on her own.
The DIY Lip Gloss Making Kit retails for $45.99. For more information, check out the DIY Kit Creations website here.

This will be going right into my daughter’s christmas stash if I win. She is in third grade and already into make-up, although we don’t allow her much besides lip gloss and glitter nail polish right now.
