Looking for something to do with the family before school starts? Why not head to Dreamscape at Westfield Century City for some virtual reality fun?
Dreamscape combines new technology, powerful storytelling and the thrill of a theme-park ride, all into one exciting VR experience!
Last month, my daughter, her friend, and I visited Dreamscape in Century City to try out Men in Black: First Assignment. We had so much fun with this immersive experience!
When you first arrive at Dreamscape, you’ll be asked to check-in and sign a waiver. The Dreamscape employees were very helpful and answered the questions that my daughter and her friend had regarding the online form.
After a brief wait in the lobby, it was time to board our adventure!
Our Dreamscape guide, helped us get “suited up.” This included wearing special wristbands with sensors, sensors for our feet/shoes, a special backpack (more sensors) and a headset.
Then we were ready to head inside the room where we accepted our mission to help the Zarthanian royal family. During the Men in Black experience, we walked around, while listening to the narrator put us through the motions of saving the Zarthanian and bringing it safely back to its home planet. At one point, we were riding hoverbikes, as the Octopoids chased us!
Here’s a teaser trailer so you can get an idea!
This immersive experience is so wild and I would definitely come back again to try out their other themes like The Clockwork Forest which is Dreamscape’s newest and most visually stunning VR experience. During this adventure, you’ll shrink to the size of an ant and explore the tiniest corners of a most incredible clock!
Thanks, Dreamscape for hosting us! We had an incredible time and I’m sure we will be back again soon.
